Processing fee — for GOMs
What joiners pay, what you receive, and how refunds are handled on Auto-match GOs.
Joiners pay PayPal's actual processing fee on top of your listed price. After PayPal takes its fee, you receive your listed price exactly— no markup, no skim. autoGOM doesn't take a cut.
We pass through PayPal's actual rate based on the joiner's shipping country:
- US joiners: 3.49% + $0.49 (PayPal US domestic rate)
- International joiners: 4.99% + $0.49 (PayPal cross-border rate)
On a $10 listed price, the joiner pays $10.87 (US) or $11.04 (international). After PayPal takes its fee, you receive exactly $10.00 in your account.
We recommend setting up your PayPal account to hold USD balance rather than auto-convert. Auto-conversion adds a ~3-4% PayPal currency conversion fee on receive, which would reduce your payout below the listed price on some order routes.
When you refund a joiner, PayPal returns 100% of what they paid but keeps the original processing fee. This is an industry-standard PayPal/Stripe policy — the merchant bears the refund cost.
For most GOs the occasional refund is rare, so the impact is small. If your GO has higher refund volume (cancelled releases, shipping issues), factor a small buffer into your listed price when you create the GO.
