Terms of Service
Last updated: May 14, 2026
1. The basics
autoGOM is a tool that helps K-pop fans run group orders together.
- GOM — the person organizing the group order
- Joiner — the person joining the group order
We provide the form, dashboard, and tracking. We don't handle the money or the shipping — that stays between the GOM, the Joiner, and PayPal.
2. Your account
- You need an email and display name to create a GO.
- Keep your password safe. We can't recover your account if you lose it.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or your local minimum age for online accounts.
3. Running a GO (GOM responsibilities)
- You collect payments and ship items. autoGOM never touches the money.
- Be honest about pricing, deadlines, and what joiners will receive.
- Once a GO is Secured (locked in with the supplier), refunds may not be possible.
- If you abandon a GO without communicating, joiners can dispute with PayPal or contact us — and we may suspend your account.
4. Joining a GO (Joiner rights)
You have a 24-hour cancellation window after payment for any reason. autoGOM cancels the PayPal invoice and PayPal refunds you directly.
After 24 hours, whether a refund is possible depends on your order status:
- Pending / Confirmed — refunds usually OK, talk to the GOM
- Secured — locked in with the supplier, refunds may not be possible
- Shipped / Delivered — case-by-case via the GOM
If the GO fails (deadline missed, GOM unresponsive, etc.), you can:
- File a PayPal Goods & Services dispute — this is your strongest protection
- Email us — we can mediate but can't force a refund (only PayPal can)
5. Payment & refunds
We don't process payments. PayPal does.
- Auto-match GOs — the GOM cancels the PayPal invoice and PayPal handles the refund automatically.
- Regular GOs — the GOM refunds you directly through PayPal.
- Processing fees (~5–7%) go to PayPal, not us. autoGOM doesn't take a cut.
6. What we can and can't do
We can:
- Provide the form, dashboard, tracking page, and email confirmations
- Cancel PayPal invoices on Auto-match GOs (triggered by the GOM)
- Mediate disputes between GOM and Joiner
- Suspend or remove GOMs who repeatedly break these terms
We can't:
- Force a refund — only PayPal can, through a Goods & Services dispute
- Recover funds the GOM has already withdrawn from PayPal
- Replace PayPal's official Buyer Protection
7. GOM disputes & abandoned GOs
If a GOM goes silent or refuses a legitimate refund:
- File a PayPal Goods & Services dispute first. This is your strongest protection — PayPal can claw back funds within 180 days of payment.
- Email uswith the GO link and the issue. We'll check the GOM's other GOs and may suspend the account.
We don't have the funds, but we can flag bad actors and remove them from the platform.
8. Stuff you can't do
- Fake GOs — collecting payments without delivering
- Reselling autoGOM access or scraping our data
- Harassment, doxing, or sharing other users' information
- Illegal items (counterfeits, restricted goods)
Breaking these will result in account suspension or removal.
9. Changes to these terms
We'll email registered users at least 14 days before any major change. Continued use after the change date means you accept the new terms.
10. The legal bits
- autoGOM is provided "as is"— we do our best to keep things running, but can't guarantee uptime or error-free service.
- We're not responsible for losses caused by GOMs, Joiners, or PayPal — including missed deliveries, account holds, or chargebacks.
- Our total liability is limited to fees you've paid us (currently $0 during the beta). When we exit beta and begin charging, this cap will be updated and you'll be notified per section 9.
- These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where we operate.
