GO lifecycle & tips

Everything you need to know to run your first group order on autoGOM.

GO Lifecycle

Step 01

Create Your GO

Add a title, description, price options, images, and a deadline. Your GO page is generated instantly — no coding needed.

Step 02

Share the Link

Drop your GO link on Twitter, Discord, or wherever your joiners hang out. Anyone can order — no account required.

Step 03

Receive Orders

Joiner orders appear in your dashboard in real time. Each joiner gets a confirmation email with a tracking link — they track themselves, you stop answering 'where's my order?'

Step 04

Confirm & Secure

Mark Confirmed once payment is verified. Mark Secured later, when your bulk order is placed with the supplier and your joiners' orders are locked in.

Step 05

Ship Orders

When orders are packed and shipped, add tracking numbers. Joiners check status anytime with their token.

Step 06

Complete

Once all orders are delivered, mark the GO as completed. Your data stays available — export CSV anytime.

Why Goods & Services?

PayPal's Friends & Family was designed for personal transfers — not group buys. Using F&F for commercial orders violates PayPal's User Agreement and can result in account holds. We recommend Goods & Services for every GO:

  • Designed for commercial transactions — like a group order
  • Joiners get dispute protection if something goes wrong
  • Your PayPal account stays compliant and safe
  • The fee (~5–7%) is paid by joiners, transparently shown upfront

See the Processing fee guide for GOMs for how the fee is calculated, what you receive on each order, and how refunds work.

Tips for a Smooth GO

Write clear payment instructions

Include your PayPal email and ask joiners to send via Goods & Services. Add the order number to the note so payments are easier to match.

Use descriptive titles

Include the artist name + product. "ATEEZ - Golden Hour Pt.2 Photocards" is better than "PC GO".

Set realistic deadlines

7–14 days gives joiners enough time to find your GO. Too short and you miss people in different timezones.

Close before you ship

Close your GO first, then move to In Progress when you start shipping. This keeps the workflow clean.
